Claudio Otero Eiriz
In the labour field, he works as a civil servant for the Xunta da Galicia, where he won the competitive examination of the Superior Body of the General Administration of the Autonomous Community of Galicia, Subgroup A1. He has a degree in Law from the USC and a degree in Legal Sciences of Public Administration from the UNED, forming, along with other masters and courses, a legal training.
In the field of research, he is a Doctor in Regional Development and Economic Integration by the USC with a thesis entitled A industria dos coiros en Galicia. Historia e Patrimonio. It is precisely this topic, the history and industrial heritage of Galician tanneries, the main one of his researches. He has published the following books: A Chantada fabril. Os tantidos do Asma na Idade Contemporánea (2015), As fábricas de curtumes de Alfoz. Historia e Patrimonio (2018) and A industria galega dos curtumes. Pegadas dun patrimonio cultural sobranceiro (2020). He won the Condado de Pallares research competition twice. He is currently a member of the jury for the only industrial heritage award in Galicia, organized by Buxa, the Galician Association of Industrial Heritage.
